Heber Taylor is a retired newsman. He writes historical fiction.

It all started when…

Heber Taylor retired as editor of the Galveston County Daily News in 2015 and after years of putting out copy for the general public decided it was time to write what he'd dreamed of writing for years. He is interested in Texas-related historical fiction but reads widely and is working on several other projects, among them a compendium of insights about poetry and on one of his favorite writers, Charles Lamb.

His latest books include King Fisher: The Deadliest Man in Texas and The Old Farm: At Tale of East Texas. Find them at online book retailers.

Heber reads widely and enjoys consideration of weighty philosophical ideas among the many other concepts he pursues.

He is not a fan of social media, so you'll have to email him at hebertaylor3@gmail.com.
